The Office of the President of Camarines Norte State College thru the International Relations and Linkages Officer had informed the College of Education about the opening for the selection of potential students to participate in the SEA Teacher Project or the Pre- Service Student Teaching in Southeast Asia. This project was introduced and facilitated by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
Enable to make this possible, the College administrator and faculty members had their meeting and selected four potential students coming from English, MAPE, Science and Mathematics. This was one of the biggest breaks of the college for they can provide an opportunity for the students to have their teaching practicum in other country.
Prior to the project, the college dean had a meeting with the parents of the potential students. The expenses for the departure, accommodation and allowances were discussed as well as the cost- sharing mechanism. The meeting concluded with an agreement wherein the CNSC had to pay for the roundtrip ticket, the receiving university for the accommodation and the participating students for their own pocket money or allowance.
As the chosen delegate from Major in English, I submitted some documents like curriculum vitae, copy of grades and general weighted average, letter of intent, permit or waiver from parents, recommendation letters from professors, certificate of enrolment, photocopy of identification card, medical and dental certificate, neurological test, copy of passport, and student insurance as required by the College and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
